Kim St. Clair, LMHC, M.Ed., Psy.D. is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified EMDR Therapist. She received her Master’s degree from Kent State University in Community Counseling. She continued her studies and received her Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University to better understand neuroscience enhancing her ability to provide holistic care for her clients. She is a member of the EMDR International Association.

Kim specializes in working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. While providing counseling, she began to realize that everyone has experienced trauma on some level, leading her to pursue advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in order to address the deeper issues she was encountering with her clients.  EMDR is an adaptive information processing model that changes the way memory is stored and allows the brain to release false beliefs tied to past events.  Originally created to treat Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, EMDR has expanded to be an effective generalized treatment with quick and lasting results.

As a therapist I am privileged to join my clients on their healing journey and humbled to be trusted in such a sacred space.

Kim is an independent contract with Thrive Therapy, LLC.
